Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

FAQ

Find quick answers to common questions about our teapots, shipping, and care.

1. About Our Teapots

Q: Are your teapots made from real Yixing clay?
A: Yes, 100%. We source our clay directly from Yixing, Jiangsu, and provide certificates of authenticity for all our master-grade pieces.
Q: What is the difference between Zini, Hongni, and Duanni?
A: Zini (Purple Clay) is versatile and great for dark teas like Pu'er. Hongni (Red Clay) has a tighter structure, ideal for Oolong and high-aroma teas. Duanni (Segmented Clay) is lighter and porous, excellent for white and green teas.
Q: Why does my new teapot have white spots or a rough texture?
A: This is normal! Yixing clay contains natural minerals (like mica) that sparkle or appear as white spots after firing. It proves the clay is natural and not chemically treated.
Q: Can I use my Yixing teapot for coffee or herbal tea?
A: Technically yes, but we highly recommend using it only for traditional Chinese tea (Camellia sinensis). The porous clay absorbs flavors, and coffee/herbal scents are very strong and hard to remove.

2. Ordering & Shipping

Q: How long does shipping take to [My Country]?
A: Typically 3-6 days for Southeast Asia (SG, MY, ID) and 7-15 days for Europe/USA. You will receive a tracking number once shipped.
Q: Do you ship safely? I'm worried about breakage.
A: Absolutely. We use double-boxing with custom foam inserts and insure all high-value shipments. If it arrives broken, we send a replacement or refund immediately.
Q: Can I customize a teapot with my logo?
A: Yes! We offer OEM/ODM services for bulk orders. Please check our B2B page or contact us via WhatsApp for details.

3. Care & Maintenance

Q: How do I clean my teapot if it gets stained?
A: Simply rinse with hot water and gently rub with a soft cloth. For stubborn stains, boil the pot in plain water for 20 minutes. Never use soap!
Q: My teapot lid feels loose. Is this a defect?
A: Not necessarily. A slight gap is often intentional to prevent the lid from sticking due to thermal expansion or vacuum pressure. As long as it doesn't fall out when pouring, it is fine.
Q: Can I put my teapot in the dishwasher?
A: NO! Never put an Yixing teapot in a dishwasher. The harsh detergents and high heat will ruin the clay's porosity and flavor-absorbing properties.
