吕尧臣，1940年生于江苏宜兴，是中国当代紫砂界公认的“壶艺泰斗”。1958年，他进入宜兴紫砂工艺厂，师从著名老艺人吴云根，奠定了深厚的传统功底。从艺六十余载，吕尧臣不仅完美继承了传统紫砂的精髓，更以非凡的创造力开创了紫砂装饰艺术的新纪元。
他是紫砂史上“吕氏绞泥”技法的开宗立派者，被誉为“壶艺魔术师”。他突破性地利用不同色泽的紫砂泥料，通过独特的捶打与融合技艺，在壶身上呈现出如千里江山、似行云流水般的天然纹理。这种技法彻底改变了紫砂单一的视觉语言，形成了独树一帜的“吕派壶艺”。吕尧臣是第三届“中国工艺美术大师”（1993年），也是国家级非物质文化遗产代表性传承人。其作品屡获国内外金奖，多件珍品被北京故宫博物院、中南海紫光阁、中国历史博物馆等国家级机构永久收藏。在英国剑桥《世界名人录》中，他被记载为“一个时代审美的标杆”。
Born in 1940 in Yixing, Jiangsu, Lv Yaochen is universally recognized as the "Grandmaster of Zisha" in contemporary China. In 1958, he joined the Yixing Zisha Factory and studied under the renowned veteran artist Wu Yungen, laying a solid foundation in traditional craftsmanship. With over six decades of dedication, Master Lu has not only perfected the essence of traditional Zisha but also pioneered a new era in Zisha decorative arts with extraordinary creativity.
He is the founder of the "Lu-style Twisted Clay" (Jiaoni) technique in Zisha history, earning him the title "The Magician of Pottery Arts." Breakthroughly utilizing clay materials of different colors, he employs unique pounding and blending skills to create natural textures on the teapot surfaces that resemble flowing clouds, running water, or vast landscapes. This technique revolutionized the monochromatic visual language of Zisha, establishing the distinctive "Lu School" of pottery art.
Master Lu was honored as a "Chinese Arts and Crafts Master" (3rd Batch, 1993) and is a Representative Inheritor of National Intangible Cultural Heritage. His works have won numerous gold awards domestically and internationally. Many of his masterpieces are permanently collected by prestigious institutions such as the Palace Museum (Forbidden City) in Beijing, the Ziguang Hall of Zhongnanhai, and the National Museum of China. Recorded in the Cambridge World Who's Who, he is hailed as "a benchmark of aesthetic standards for an era."
