While extensively exploring the essence of art from ancient to modern times and across cultures, he has deeply dedicated himself to the theory and practice of Zisha ceramic art. Yang's works are renowned for their fluid lines, meticulous craftsmanship, and elegant simplicity. He skillfully seeks innovation within tradition and abundance within elegance, cleverly integrating modern techniques to imbue his pieces with vibrant life and endless imagination, thus forming a unique artistic style.

Beyond his mastery in pot making, Yang Xiyu is exceptionally gifted in ceramic carving, earning him the prestigious title "The Divine Knife of China" among tea enthusiasts. In 2009, he was honored with the title of "Yixing City Technical Expert." In 2011, his masterpiece "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" won the Gold Award at the First "Oriental Pearl Cup" National Arts and Crafts Inheritance and Innovation Excellence Awards.
